Candice's Story

I learned the very delicate art of balance very early in mommy hood. Prior to having my son, my life was primarily dictated by growing my very lucrative marketing career with a Fortune 20 company moving me from New York to Boston to Chicago.

But that all changed.

Two days after my son was born, I was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect. I, very rapidly, had to figure out how to balance being a new mother, growing my career, being a wife, and my own health.

Balance doesn't work. It insinuates that two things are on opposite sides of a beam that should have equal weight. Instead, alignment in my life came through learnings of a three-dimensional adventure.

Eighteen months after my son's birth, I have course corrected and came out of what felt like a very dark, narrow tunnel. Inside of those 18 months, I changed jobs, had a heart procedure, went on medical leave, had open heart surgery, and ultimately changed career paths by moving to another company that rocks my world.

My life is in harmony. My heart is both healed and singing.

Through this shared space, I hope to connect with other women who are facing their own three dimensional adventures. Supporting one another in even the simplest of ways will help us all by aligned with life and make our hearts sing.
