If someone asked me to describe myself in one sentence, it would go something like this: I'm a wife, mother, artist, weenie dog wrangler and a dancing machine. I tend to look at life with a sense of humor and a healthy dose of realism. My life is hectic, my house is unorganized, my kid is probably still in his PJs and I wouldn't change a thing.

Jen and I joke that we are psychically linked since we were pregnant the same time a year apart, gave birth three weeks early and have kiddos 364 days apart (we missed Emma's birthday by one day). I gave birth to Grady a short three hours and seven minutes after the first contraction. He has been determined since day one.

My work situation is a little different in that I work from home. It may sound like a dream situation, but it comes with its own unique set of challenges. I am fortunate that I can be available for my son, but juggling working (and focusing) while at home can be a chore.

I never knew I could love with such a fierceness before having Grady. It is amazing what we, as mothers, will do for our children. No sacrifice is too great and no antic is too embarrassing.
